Changes in the intestinal microbiota of farmed northern sheatfish (<i>Silurus soldatovi</i>) associated with natural bacterial infection

چکیده

An acute infectious disease of northern sheatfish (Silurus soldatovi) was found in a commercial aquaculture pond Tianjin, China. Herein, two dominant bacterial strains were isolated from naturally diseased and identified as Aeromonas veronii Vibrio cholerae. Seven healthy seven fish that collected the used for gut microbiota analysis by high-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The α-diversity indices (ACE, Chao 1, Shannon) did not differ significantly between (p > 0.05), but significant separation observed them when β-diversity population performed. demonstrated elevation relative abundances Aeromonas, Vibrio, Blautia, Megamonas decrease Cetobacterium, Bacteroides, Chryseolinea, Ralstonia, Pseudomonas compared with < 0.05). Linear discriminant effect size showed microbial marker species order Aeromonadales, family Aeromonadaceae, genus Aeromonas. functional profiles community predicted using PICRUSt2 indicated disturbance caused alteration its fish.

Comprehensive Postmortem Analyses of Intestinal Microbiota Changes and Bacterial Translocation in Human Flora Associated Mice

BACKGROUND Postmortem microbiological examinations are performed in forensic and medical pathology for defining uncertain causes of deaths and for screening of deceased tissue donors. Interpretation of bacteriological data, however, is hampered by false-positive results due to agonal spread of microorganisms, postmortem bacterial translocation, and environmental contamination. METHODOLOGY/PRI...

Intestinal microbiota of patients with bacterial infection of the respiratory tract treated with amoxicillin.

The intestinal tract harbors a huge diversity of metabolically-active aerobic and anaerobic bacteria that interact, forming a complex ecosystem. This microbiota has an important role in human metabolism, nutrition, immunity, and protection against colonization by pathogenic microorganisms. Several factors can influence the intestinal microbiota; these include age, diet, inflammatory and infecti...

The Role of Intestinal Microbiota in Cognitive Disorders

Cognitive disorders are one of the major public health issues in older population worldwide. Problems in forming and storing new memories, short-term memory impairment, and other cognitive problems are common symptoms of cognitive disorders that have no definite treatment yet. Recent studies have shown an association between gut microbiota and cognitive impairments described as microbiota-gut-...

Comprehensive Survey of Intestinal Microbiota Changes in Offspring of Human Microbiota-Associated Mice

Secondary abiotic mice generated by broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment provide a valuable tool for association studies with microbiota derived from different vertebrate hosts. We here generated human microbiota-associated (hma) mice by human fecal microbiota transplantation of secondary abiotic mice and performed a comprehensive survey of the intestinal microbiota dynamics in offspring of hma ...

Bacterial Community Associated with the Intestinal Tract of Chinese Mitten Crab (Eriocheir sinensis) Farmed in Lake Tai, China

Chinese mitten crab (CMC, Eriocheir sinensis) is an economically valuable species in South-East Asia that has been widely farmed in China. Characterization of the intestinal bacterial diversity of CMC will provide insights into the aquaculturing of CMCs. Based on the analysis of cloned 16S rRNA genes from culture-independent CMC gut bacteria, 124 out of 128 different clones reveal >95% nucleoti...
